Citizen TV presenter Jeff Koinange has emotionally bid his co-anchor Victoria Rubadiri goodbye as she heads to London for training at BBC.

The mother of one will be at the BBC studios for a period of three months where she will not only attend a training course but also work alongside a news team and in turn gain more journalistic skills.

Rubadiri gets the chance to attend the training at the big media house after winning the Komla Dumor awards in 2020.

While in the Sunday bulletin, the Citizen TV team held a small party for her as they wished her well. She revealed that she would miss everyone and especially Jeff Koinange.

“The time has come, London is calling… I’m going to miss you, Jeff,” Rubadiri said in the Sunday live.

Koinange took to his Twitter page to pen a heartfelt message wishing her the very best as she joins the BBC academy.

Rubadiri is the sixth person to win the Komla Dumor awards which were created in 2014 to honour BBC presenter Komla Dumor who passed away suddenly at the age of 41.

Previous winners include Solomon Serwanjja, Waihiga Mwaura, Amina Yuguda, Didi Akinyelure and Nancy Kacungira.

The beautiful presenter holds a Bachelors degree from Temple University in the US.
