Tetra Pak has once again secured a spot on the Carbon Disclosure Project’s (CDP) prestigious ‘A List’, an annual ranking that recognises companies leading in environmental transparency and climate action.
This marks the fourth time in five years that the company has received the top rating, underscoring its sustained commitment to reducing its carbon footprint.
The CDP, a global non-profit organisation advocating for environmental accountability, evaluates thousands of companies based on their climate disclosures and sustainability efforts.
It assigns scores ranging from A to D-, measuring transparency, awareness, and tangible progress in tackling environmental challenges.
Organisations that fail to provide adequate information are given an F rating.

Tetra Pak’s inclusion in the ‘A List’ reflects its ongoing efforts to mitigate climate change through a structured sustainability strategy.
The company aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across its entire value chain by 2050.
By 2023, it had reduced total absolute emissions by 20 per cent from 2019 levels, with a 47 per cent reduction in emissions from its own operations.
Additionally, emissions linked to suppliers and logistics were cut by 21 per cent and 17 per cent, respectively.
Francesca Priora, Vice President Climate & Nature at Tetra Pak, said the company plays a crucial role in reshaping global food systems.
“Food processing and packaging play a vital role in transforming global food systems. For over 70 years, our technology has helped provide food access, reduce food waste, enhance food safety, and extend shelf life - even in the most remote areas. But our work doesn’t stop there; we are steadfast in our commitment to driving down carbon emissions and reducing environmental impact," Priora stated.
"As a leader in our industry, we have a unique opportunity to influence and support stakeholders across the value chain. This is why the transparency promoted by CDP is so essential. Our commitment to reducing environmental impact is deeply intertwined with our goals in climate action, circularity, social sustainability, and food systems. We are proud to be recognised on the CDP A List once again and look forward to continuing this journey."
Beyond its climate efforts, Tetra Pak also reported on its performance in forest conservation and water security, securing an 'A-' score in both categories.
This reinforces its position in CDP’s leadership band, a distinction awarded to companies that demonstrate strong environmental responsibility.
The CDP regularly refines its assessment criteria, ensuring that companies must continuously improve their environmental practices to maintain high scores.
With climate change accelerating and global food systems responsible for a significant share of greenhouse gas emissions, Tetra Pak’s sustainability efforts highlight the growing role of corporate responsibility in combating the crisis.
