Kenya Railways has urged customers to be vigilant when booking Madaraka Express Passenger Service tickets, warning that only transactions made through its official platforms will be recognised.

In a public notice issued on Monday, the corporation outlined three approved methods for booking: online via its online portal, through the USSD code, or by visiting Madaraka Express Passenger Service stations in person.

"Kenya Railways wishes to notify members of the public that all bookings for Madaraka Express Passenger Service are strictly facilitated through the following official channels:

1. Online: Visit www.metickets.krc.co.ke

2. USSD Code: Dial *639#

3. Physical Locations: Visit any of our Madaraka Express Passenger Service stations."

The railway operator also emphasised that all official communication will come from designated phone numbers, cautioning passengers against responding to messages or calls from unverified sources.

Additionally, Kenya Railways stated that it will not be responsible for any issues arising from transactions or bookings made outside the authorised channels.

"We further wish to notify the public that any communication from the Corporation will only be through the following phone number," Kenya Railways stated.

"The Corporation will not be held liable for any issues arising from bookings or calls made outside the official channels."

Passengers were encouraged to stick to the approved platforms to avoid inconvenience and ensure a seamless travel experience on the Madaraka Express Passenger Service.
