According to Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa, the upgraded 5G for Business will deliver speeds that are five times higher and seeks to improve internet performance and customer experience especially for SMEs.

“The new 5G for Business will ensure that SMEs can access enterprise-grade internet performance without stretching their budgets,” said Ndegwa.

He added: “This will empower them to enhance productivity, improve customer interactions, and scale operations efficiently in today’s increasingly connected marketplace.”

Ndegwa revealed that Safaricom will also launch an offer running from November 29, 2024 to December 31, 2024 which will see businesses that sign up for the new 5G plan receive 25 per cent off all 5G plans.
