Stanbic Bank Kenya has officially launched two new investment products, the Stanbic Money Market Fund (KES) and the Stanbic Fixed Income Fund (USD), following their approval by the Capital Markets Authority earlier this year.
These funds are now accessible to both existing and new customers, offering investment opportunities with minimum contributions of Sh1,000 and USD 100 respectively.
Managed by SBG Securities Limited, a prominent investment bank under the Stanbic Holdings Plc umbrella, the Stanbic Money Market Fund currently offers an annualised yield of 15.12 per cent, while the Fixed Income Fund (USD) provides a 5.56 per cent annualised return.
The introduction of these funds is part of Stanbic Bank’s strategic move to lower investment barriers by requiring only modest initial investments.
Dr Joshua Oigara, Chief Executive of Stanbic Bank Kenya and South Sudan, stated, “To drive growth, we must mobilise domestic savings and investments by strengthening our capital markets and developing investment products that cater to our people’s needs. We need to create accessible entry points for investors, offering affordable and user-friendly solutions that lower barriers to investment. Our Asset Management unit is strategically positioned to deliver investment solutions that drive growth for both retail and institutional investors.”
