Safaricom Plc, Kenya's leading telecommunications company, has announced the appointment of Florence Nyokabi as its new Chief Human Resources Officer.
Nyokabi assumes her new role effective April 1, 2024, succeeding Paul Kasimu, who now serves as the HR Transformation and Change Advisor on a contractual basis.
Nyokabi brings with her a wealth of experience garnered over 25 years of leading HR functions in both local and global capacities.
Her most recent role was at Standard Chartered Bank, where she served as the Managing Director of Human Resources for Nigeria and West Africa, overseeing operations across six countries.

Recognized for her contributions to the HR field, Nyokabi has been honored as a Top 40 Under 40 Leader in Kenya and named HR Personality of the Year in Africa.
Her academic background includes a master's degree from the University of Nairobi, complemented by executive leadership programs at prestigious institutions such as Duke University in the United States and the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.
