Winnie Gor Consultancy, a Kenya-based boutique marketing and communications company, has re-branded as it sets its eyes on other key markets across Africa in the next two years.
Founded by PR and communications expert Winnie Gor, who is its current CEO, the firm is now Winnie Gor Communications Africa as it seeks to attract more clients in the continent.
The agency boasts of partner offices in 17 African countries among them Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, DR Congo, Zambia, Botswana and South Africa.
“Our vision 10 years ago was to become a beacon of creativity and trust for corporate and individual brands including business giants and emerging champions of change across Africa,” said Gor.
She added: “We have been blessed to work with many of these diverse individuals and clients over the last ten years and who we hope to continue working with as we build our footprint in the continent.”
Winnie Gor Communications Africa celebrated its milestone 10th anniversary with pomp and color during an invite-only event at the lavish Gem Suites in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi.
Among the top communications and business leaders present included PMS Africa Founder and CEO Joanne Mwangi-Yelbert (chief guest), PRSK Vice-President Patricia Ndede, and SNDBX Co-Founder and CEO Joram Mwinamo.
“Building a business from the ground up is never easy. To see a home-grown business brand succeed year on year amidst all the turmoil and challenges of entrepreneurship including the vagaries of Covid-19 and even the current tough economic times is a fete to be celebrated and emulated,” intimated Mwangi-Yelbert.
In her keynote address, the well-respected businesswoman stressed on the importance of upcoming women entrepreneurs in Kenya receiving business mentorship and peerage.
Mwinamo challenged Winnie Gor Communications Africa to embrace innovation, creativity, and trust as some of the key pillars that drive the marketing and communication practice.
“Reaching this kind of milestone in business, is not an end in itself but just an indicator that you are doing something right,” stated Mwinamo.
He added: “To stay there and even surpass this achievement, requires even more dedication and focus from the founders in developing operational systems and sustainability plans, the lack of which has led to premature deaths of many SME dreams.”
