Visa has appointed Chad Pollock as its new Cluster Country Manager and Vice President for the East Africa region.

The digital payments company announced that it had settled on Chad terming him a seasoned leader with a rich background in the finance, technology and energy industries.

Commenting on the new appointment, Visa Senior Vice President and Head of Sub-Saharan Africa, Aida Diarra, welcomed Pollock as a worthy pick for the significant regional position.

“We believe that his experience will help us achieve our goals of driving the digitalization of payments and financial inclusion in the region,” said Diarra.

He added: “His appointment is in line with our vision to continue to build a solid regional team by matching unique strengths and talents with critical business opportunities.”

Before his current appointment, Pollock served as the company’s Vice President, Head of Global Client Strategy & Operations.

During the particular period, Visa says he successfully commandeered the growth of business analytics and commercial operations for Visa’s largest international clients.

Pollock has a Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering Management and is expected to have a key impact for the firm in the region.
