Bolt, the ride-hailing platform, picked up most of its customers globally in 2023 from airports and train stations with the most popular pick-up days being Friday and Saturday.
This is according to data revealed by Bolt Rewind, which also showed that more than 4.8 million trips by people escorted by their pet dogs were taken in bolt taxis across the globe.
Similarly, most Bolt Food customers ordered their ready-made meals from restaurants on Friday, with cheeseburger being the most ordered and banana was the favourite grocery.
In Kenya, the most expensive order on Bolt Food was for foods worth Sh89,000 with the largest number of individual orders from an individual customer being more 500 orders.
The Estonia headquartered ride-hailing company also indicated that the KFC Streetwise 3 was the most popular meal ordered by Kenyans all year round.

The furthest delivery of 2023 made on Bolt Food in Kenya was a total of 98km while the longest trip made by a customer on a Bolt taxi was more than 175km.
Bolt Country Manager Linda Ndungu hailed the milestone as Bolt marked its 10th anniversary by reaching 150 million customers in more than 500 cities in 45 countries.
“By choosing shared mobility options like ride-hailing, and Bolt Food for food delivery, we replaced more and more use cases for private cars together,” said Ndungu.
She added: “To help us keep working towards our mission, we’re inviting everyone in Kenya to submit their ideas through our social media channels on how to make their city more people-friendly, and we’ll pick one to bring to life.”
