Safaricom has announced that it will close all its shops located in Nairobi City County on Friday, October 6, 2023.
In a communication on social media on Wednesday, the telecommunications firm said only its shop at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) will remain open on Friday.
“Normal services will resume on Saturday, 7th October 2023. For further assistance, ask Zuri, call customer care or visit your nearest Safaricom dealer,” said Safaricom in a statement.
The telcos that aims to transform into a tech-driven firm by 2025, says the closure is “…due to unavoidable circumstances,” and “…is to enable us carry out some internal processes.”
Customers go to Safaricom shops to access sim registration and swap, bill payments, purchase phones and accessories alongside a variety of other customer care services.
