Energy and Petroleum Regulatory
Authority (EPRA) has announced new super petrol, diesel and kerosene prices after
Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) reviewed the excise duty.
In
a statement released on Friday, EPRA said the revised maximum wholesale prices
of petroleum products cover the October 3-14 period.
The changes came after KRA hiked excise duty on three products, after considering the average inflation rate of 4.94 per cent for the 2019/2020 financial year.

The new rates
will see the pump price for Super Petrol in Nairobi go up by Sh1.12 per litre,
as that of Diesel and Kerosene rise by Sh0.58 per litre respectively.
In Nairobi,
super petrol will be sold at Sh106.55 up from Sh105.43, diesel at Sh95.09 from
Sh94.51 and kerosene at Sh83.73 from Sh83.15.
In Mombasa, a
litre of super petrol will cost Sh104.18, diesel Sh92.73 and kerosene Sh81.37.
In the lakeside city of Kisumu, petrol will go for Sh107.18, diesel Sh95.94 and kerosene Sh84.60, with all other areas of the country affected.
