Paymentology, a global issuer-processor, has partnered with Kenyan technology firm Boya in a move meant to simplify the tracking of expenses by companies in the country.

The deal will see Paymentology connect Boya to Visa through its card issuing platform and provide the technology company with support in enhanced data analytics capabilities.

This comes close to two weeks after Boya launched its virtual expense card in partnership with Kenyan Tier 1 Bank, Diamond Trust Bank (DTB).

The Boya platform, which was founded in 2021, is a cloud-based expense management solution that streamlines the entire process for businesses.

The platform offers easy expense tracking via mobile and web applications with customisable categories and automatic transaction recording for smooth reviews and approvals.

The solution has reporting capabilities and generates reports for enhanced financial insights and decision-making and is integrated with popular accounting software for more efficiency.

The mobile app also allows employees to manage expenses and track approvals handily from iOS and Android devices to enhance financial visibility and promote cost saving.

“Boya has streamlined and revolutionised expense tracking and reporting for businesses of all sizes in Kenya, and is empowering businesses to make smarter business payment decisions,” said Boya Chief Executive Officer Alphas Sinja.

He added, “Thanks to our issuer processing partner, Paymentology, Boya has access to a fast and scalable infrastructure solution that has enabled the smooth launch of our virtual Visa expense card.”

Paymentology Regional Director for Africa Kirsten Wortmann says the firm’s support for Boya’s new Visa virtual card recognises the importance of effectual financial tools for businesses in Kenya

“In today's fast-paced digital landscape, thriving in business demands agility at every level,” said Wortmann.

She added, “With our innovative solutions and deep expertise, Boya’s customers can be confident that their expenses are seamlessly handled, enabling business owners to focus on other vital aspects of their organisation.”
