The price of super Petrol at the pump has reduced by 85 cents in the latest review by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) on Friday.

In the new fuel prices take effect from Saturday, July 15, the price of diesel will remain unchanged for the next one month.

The revision will a litre of Super Petrol retail at Sh194.68 down from 195.53.

The price of Kerosene was also reduced by Sh3.96 and will now retail at Sh169.48 from the current Sh173.44 per litre.

The move comes two weeks after EPRA increased fuel prices by Sh13 based on the the raising of VAT on petroleum products from 16 Per cent VAT on fuel product.

This also comes amid accusations against EPRA by a section of Kenyans led by Busia Senator Okiyah Omtatah for hiking VAT despite the high court suspending the Finance Act that hiked the tax from 8 to 16 per cent.
