Zutari, consulting engineering and infrastructure advisory company with its headquarters in South Africa, has been officially registered and fully licensed to operate in Nairobi, Kenya.

The advisory firm has previously been engaged in a number of significant projects in Kenya including Two Rivers Mall and the Kenya Water Security and Climate Resilience Project.

Zutari seeks to boot its presence in Kenya by working with government agencies including Kenya National Highways Agency (KeNHA), Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) and Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) the development of infrastructure across the country.

“East Africa has long been identified as a growth area for Zutari, with Kenya at the centre of our expansion initiatives into the region,” said Zutari CEO Teddy Daka.

The company based in South Africa has also expressed interest in the installation of intelligent transport systems and engagement in private public partnership projects.

Diplomatic relations between Kenya and South Africa have been growing since the introduction of a mutual visa-free agreement in January 2023.

Engagements between Trade ministries from both countries are set to address trade barriers opening up of business opportunities for both countries.

Zutari Kenya Ltd is now registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) to engage in civil and electrical engineering disciplines as stipulated by the Kenyan Engineers Act (2011).

Zutari offered advisory services to Scania for design and management to build its first of 15 global service centres in Nairobi, consisting of a warehouse complex, service pits and offices.

It also offered its services for the East African Community (EAC) Transport Master Plan and developed a unified transport and regional road sector development programme for EAC.

In 2017, it was hired as an implementation support consultant for a sub-component of the Kenya Water Security and Climate Resilience Project, Phase 1 financed by the World Bank.

Zutari says it has been involved in more than 100 infrastructure projects in Kenya from full infrastructure lifecycle solutions across the water, transport, energy, resources, and built-environment infrastructure markets.
