Casio, a Japanese electronics company, has opened its first store in East Africa in Nairobi, Kenya as it eyes the growing demand for original timepieces and educational solutions.

The company founded in 1946 says it is prioritizing Kenya as one of its significant expansion markets as it seeks to access the East African market and other markets across Africa.

The store is located at Broadwalk Mall on Ojijo Road and stocks Casio, G-Shock and Edifice timepieces with the store offering a 50 per cent discount on all watches until end month.


Casio is well-known for its wide array of products, has a reputation for manufacturing durable, reliable and affordable products and also has a strong presence in education.

Casio’s G-Shock (Gravitational Shock) line of watches are expensive due to their advanced technology, durable design, quality and are designed to resist mechanical stress, shock and vibration.


The Casio Edifice, which was established in 1974, is well known for its unique combination of style, functionality, and relative affordability.
