Zanzibar island is scheduled to host the East and Central Africa Institutional Investors Forum on February 22 – 23, 2023.

The two-day forum themed “Rethinking Investment Returns in the New Normal, Investing for Impact” will tackle contributions to sustainable economic development of East and Central Africa through attracting new investment and exploiting its impact on the economy.

Tanzania has been picked as the host country due to its increasingly popular and politically stable investment destination showing high-growth and its incentives to foster investment.

Tanzania Investment Centre says Tanzania offers over nine worthwhile sectors that offer investment opportunities namely; Agriculture, Livestock, Manufacturing, Economic Infrastructure, Mining, Tourism, Health & Education, ICT and Aquaculture Development.

The seminar is organized by MNCapital Group, an investment communications firm based in South Africa and offers impactful investment forums, especially for the large market actors.

“In the post-pandemic world, local, provincial and national governments across the world are intensifying their economic recovery and development efforts in order to significantly reduce socio-economic challenges that may or may not have been caused by the recent global pandemic, but have been exacerbated as a result,” said Group CEO Michael Ndinisa.

He added, “Ndinisa goes on to say that, "this conference will present immense opportunities for institutional investors to uncover new investment opportunities and not only achieve desired return on investment, but also generate social impact.”

Ndinisa called for joint public and private sector efforts, including policy changes, to make doing business easier to attract private-sector involvement in economic recovery strategies.
