President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday toured the revered Johnnie Walker Princes Street in Edinburgh, Scotland after taking time off from the COP26 Climate Change Conference in Glasgow.
Uhuru travelled with his entourage of government officials to Edinburgh mid-morning to meet Scottish Africa Business Association (SABA) at the premises courtesy of Diageo company.

The Head of State expressed his excitement at visiting the premises and getting a chance to learn more about the brands and measures the firm was taking to ensure sustainability.

He terminated his trip with a photo session with Ewan Andrews, Diageo Global Supply Chain Director and Chief Sustainability Officer and Anne-Marie Trevelyan, Secretary of State for International Trade at the 1820 Rooftop Bar overlooking the iconic Edinburgh Castle.

Andrews gifted Uhuru a limited blue label edition of Johnnie Walker as a token of appreciation for his visit and support for the company and its various investments back in Kenya.

Guests are able to bottle their own exclusive liquid only available at the Edinburgh shop, with staff on hand to give expert advice and a unique interactive flavour activity matching the customer’s preferred tastes and scents to their perfect whisky profile.
