Kenyans motorists have breathed a sigh of relief after prices of Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene remained unchanged in the latest review by Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA).
In the review announced on Wednesday, EPRA said it had opted not to change the prices of petroleum products, despite predictions by a section of the media and experts that the prices would be hiked to historic levels.
In the statement by EPRA, the price of Super Petrol will remain Sh127.14, Diesel Sh107.66 and Kerosene Sh97.85 per litre for the next month effective from exactly midnight on Thursday.
The regulator decided not to change the prices as had widely been anticipated despite the landed cost of crude oil increasing in the last month by between 3-5 per cent.
