The NCBA US Kids Golf Fall Tour lit up Limuru Country Club on Sunday, delivering tense playoffs and standout performances from Kenya’s rising junior golfers.

The Boys 8 category saw a four-hole playoff between Surya Bongu and Donnell Kipkemboi after both shot 41.

Kipkemboi eventually secured victory on the seventh hole with a steady bogey.

In the Boys 10 division, Keith Masika prevailed in a playoff against Luke Oduor and Zandro Obiero after all three finished tied at 41, marking Masika’s second playoff triumph of the season.

Beyond the playoffs, Diani’s Jamari Gwaro claimed the Boys 6 & Under with 62, while Aryan Patel topped the Boys 7 on 39.

Home player Hakeem Mutungi impressed in the Boys 9 with level par, ahead of James Tino on 38, Ivan Kimutai on 39, and Warren Mwendwa on 40.

Other winners included Mikhail Ladak (Boys 11, 78), Adam Nesbitt (Boys 12, 76), Ryan Njuguna (Boys 13-14, 78), and elite squad member Ronan Patel (Boys 15-18, 75).

In the girls’ contests, Zara Mutungi won the 8 & Under with 37, Irene Asiyo led the 9-10 with 38, and Aria Dodhia edged two-time winner Ashley Gachora in the 11-12 with 75.

Chloe Chiuri triumphed in the 13-14 with 80, while Shani D’souza secured the 15-18 with 104.

Tournament Director James Odingo hailed the event’s impact, saying, “US Kids Golf is more than just a competition; it is a pathway that helps young players develop their talent while enjoying the game… Together, we are building a culture of golf that will positively shape the future of the sport in Kenya.”

The NCBA Nairobi Fall Local Tour now heads to Sigona Golf Club on Sunday, September 21, 2025, with the season finale set for November.
