Biova Agbokou has been appointed Director and Chairperson of TotalEnergies Marketing Kenya PLC with effect from September 1, 2025, succeeding Elodie Luce, who has led the board since 2019 and has now taken up a new role within the TotalEnergies Group.

The company outlined the leadership change in an official communication, confirming Agbokou’s appointment to the role.

"The Board of Directors of TotalEnergies Marketing Kenya PLC is pleased to inform its shareholders, stakeholders, and the general public of the following changes in the Board of Directors of Total Energies Marketing Kenya PLC," the company stated.

"Ms. Biova Agbokou has been appointed as a Director and Chairperson of TotalEnergies Marketing Kenya PLC with effect from September 1, 2025."

While acknowledging the efforts of Agbokou's predecessor, the company explained that Luce would be moving on to a new assignment within the wider group.

“The Board of Directors wishes to extend its gratitude to the outgoing Chairperson of the Board, Ms. Elodie Luce, who has taken up a new assignment within the TotalEnergies Group,” the statement added.

Agbokou brings wide-ranging experience to the Nairobi-based subsidiary.

She holds a Master of Science in Operations Research and Transportation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Engineering from CentraleSupélec in France.

Her career at TotalEnergies spans senior roles across different business units and countries

She has served as LPG Vice President for TotalEnergies Marketing & Services in Paris, Lead Negotiator for New Ventures & Asset Management for TotalEnergies Exploration & Production, and Deputy Managing Director of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline Project in Kampala.

She was also Managing Director and Country Chair of TotalEnergies in Madagascar.

Earlier in her career, she gained operational and management experience as Regional Director of Argedis in Bordeaux, France, and later as Operations Director and HSEQ Director for TotalEnergies Equatorial Guinea in Malabo.

Industry analysts see her appointment as a strategic move that brings seasoned leadership to the Kenyan unit.

Her expertise in operations, strategy and negotiations is expected to guide TotalEnergies Marketing Kenya as it strengthens its position in the local energy sector.
