Local automaker Mobius Motors on Thursday launched the Mobius 3, its new Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), in Kenya.
The Kenyan automobile manufacturer, whose vision is to build mass-market cars for Africa, boasts of producing durable, affordable vehicles fit for African Terrain.
Mobius 3 is a 4-wheel drive SUV that offers the optimum blend of utility and sport and packs a 2,000cc turbo-charged engine that produces 160kW of power and 320Nm of torque.

The new-look SUV offers a choice for all drivers as the engine comes matched with a 6-speed automatic transmission and stick shift enthusiasts are not left out as there also is 6-speed manual transmission.
Safety
The manufactured did not favour performance over safety as Mobius 3 comes with safety features that include airbags for both the driver and passenger, child seat anchors suitable for any family, an anti-lock braking system (ABS) and seatbelts with pre-tensioners.

Performance
The automaker says Mobius 3 offers uncompromising drive performance with improved comfort and versatility.
The firm says Mobius 3 is suitable for city driving as well as weekend or holidays drives upcountry, and can tackle all fathomable challenges any African terrain can pose.
Mobius 3 has a high ground clearance, fully selectable 4x4 driving modes, double wishbone coil suspension setup in the front and 5 link coil springs in the rear which all come as standard features.

The SUV has 17” alloy rims that take 265/65R17 tyres to offer a superb driving experience and maximum performance. It uses HD LED headlights and fog lights for paramount visibility.
The company boasts that Mobius 3 is the ultimate SUV due to its strong, lightweight removable roof panels that come in handy when one wants to enjoy the sun or open air freedom.
Comfort
Mobius Motors says Mobius 3 takes one over those rough terrains but is very comfortably and comes with an exquisite interior offering standard leather seats and multiple cup holders.
It also comes with an infotainment system that incorporates GPS navigation, WiFi connectivity, multimedia, USB connection, NFC (Near Field Communication) and Bluetooth 4.0 for hands-free calling.
The high definition 8” touch screen display also offers seamless mirroring of any smartphone via Mirror-Link technology, maximising access to phone data and functionality.
The SUV has UV filtering glass, dual zone climate control and a full digital cluster and they all enhance the driving experience and provide a high level of comfort.
Mobius 3 has a minimalistic console, one that is not crowded with a lot of buttons or knobs

The Mobius 3 SUV will retail from Sh3.9 million exclusive of V.A.T. and will come in three colour options; black, white and blue.
