In the ever-evolving world of social media, Kenyans are showing a clear preference for Facebook and WhatsApp, according to the latest Audience Measurement and Industry Trends report by the Communication Authority of Kenya (CA).

These platforms have cemented their dominance, emerging as the most frequently mentioned and utilised social media channels in the country.

The report highlights a growing trend where video-sharing platforms, such as TikTok and YouTube, are gaining traction among users.

This shift reflects a broader diversification in how Kenyans engage with digital content.

The report details a 20.4 per cent increase in available bandwidth, reaching 14,413.053 Gbps, while the capacity of utilised undersea bandwidth grew by 25.5 per cent to 5,161.918 Gbps.

The Communication Authority of Kenya has emphasised the importance of equitable access to technology.

As the digital landscape continues to evolve, ensuring that all Kenyans can participate and benefit from these advancements remains a top priority.

This focus on inclusivity is key to bridging the digital divide and fostering a more connected nation.
