Samsung Electronics East Africa has partnered with Eastlands College of Technology to launch the Samsung Innovation Campus, a groundbreaking initiative designed to equip young Kenyans with the technical and professional skills needed to thrive in the ever-evolving tech industry.

This 18-month program, targeting individuals aged 18-25, focuses on equipping students with in-demand skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Coding and Programming.

The curriculum follows the Dual Training System, ensuring a balanced development of both technical expertise and soft skills essential for employability.

"The Samsung Innovation Campus is more than just a training facility; it's a beacon of hope for the youth of Kenya," said Nyawira Muraguri, Corporate Marketing Manager, Samsung Electronics East Africa.

"We are committed to nurturing the next generation of tech leaders and innovators who will drive the digital transformation of Kenya and beyond," Muraguri explained.

The program boasts a unique structure divided into three six-month levels, each emphasizing practical learning experiences.

Students will gain hands-on experience with data science tools, delve into real-world applications of machine learning, and tackle projects that simulate industry challenges.

Entry into the program requires completion of high school, basic computer literacy, and successful completion of the Eastlands College of Technology entrance exam.

The program prioritizes affordability while upholding high educational standards, setting the fee structure at Sh32,600 per level, excluding exam fees.

The credibility and recognition of the program are further bolstered by a collaborative examination process involving Eastlands College of Technology, Samsung, and a renowned National Examining Body.

"This is a game-changer for our youth," remarked Austine Omeno, Principal of Eastlands College of Technology.

"The Samsung Innovation Campus aligns perfectly with our mission to provide quality education and practical skills that meet the needs of our dynamic world," he added.
