The stellar performance of Find N2 series and Find X6 Series flagship smartphones has jolted OPPO to position one in the China smartphone market in H1 of 2023 and fourth globally.

Data from Canalys shows that OPPO held a 10 per cent share of the global smartphone market in H1 (51.9 million shipments) and an 18 per cent share of the China smartphone market in H1 2023, to become the best-selling brand in China in the first half of the year.

OPPO has credited its performance to the success of foldable smartphones, which realised a period of fast growth in 2023 with a potential to penetrate the global market even further.

According to Counterpoint Research, global shipments of foldable smartphones are set to realise a 114 per cent compound annual growth rate to reach shipment of 55 million units.

OPPO and other Chinese original equipment manufacturers have ventured more into the foldables market pushing China to control a 26 per cent stake of the market in 2022.

Further, new information from Canalys also shows that the Chinese phone manufacturer also controlled a 31 stake of the foldable market in China during Q1 2023 to lead the way.

Similarly, according to Counterpoint, OPPO Find N2 Flip outshone all other foldable products to gobble up 15 per cent of foldable smartphone sales in China from January to May 2023.

Buoyed by the commercial success of Find N2 Flip, OPPO’s global foldable market share grew significantly from 5 per cent in Q1 2022 to 13 per cent in Q1 2023, Canalys reveals.
