Vanoma, a company based in Kenya, is in the coming days set to launch a platform that is seeking to introduce conversion-based influencer marketing in the local beauty industry.
The company says it is seeking to bridge the gap between brands and retailers on one side and influencers who use and are genuinely enthusiastic about their varied beauty products.
Vanoma Co-Founder and CMO Christine Kawira says the platform enable lifestyle and beauty content creators to earn a living while sharing products they use with their followers.
Kawira says creators will earn money on the online shopping platform by sharing authentic product reviews through unique shops with a single link shared on their social media platforms for easier tracking.
“Vanoma Limited is dedicated to democratizing influencer marketing by making it accessible and profitable for brands, retailers and influencers,” said Kawira.
According to Co-Founder and CEO Anselme Mucunguzi, Kenyan beauty and lifestyle content creators will be able to withdraw their cash from Vanoma to M-Pesa every Friday.
“Although influencer marketing is growing rapidly, it is currently out of reach for many brands and retailers due to the lack of dedicated marketing budgets and has failed to provide a steady income for numerous social media influencers,” stated Mucunguzi.
He added: “Vanoma is providing the technology to compensate influencers through commissions on the sales they generate.”
Vanoma says it has forged partnerships with leading beauty brands and retailers and already supports more than 100 dedicated beauty influencers on its new platform.
The two co-founders on Friday hosted more than 15 top influencers n Kileleshwa, Nairobi for demonstrations by beauty experts from varied cosmetics firms partnering with Vanoma.
