Samsung has unveiled its latest innovation aimed at enhancing the mobile experience for Galaxy users: Gemini Live.
This new feature, which facilitates real-time, visual conversations with AI, is set to be rolled out in April, beginning with the Galaxy S25 series.
The rollout will be available to users free of charge, marking a significant leap forward in the integration of AI into daily mobile interactions.
Samsung’s Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Office, Mobile eXperience Business, Jay Kim, has hailed the company's partnership with Google as a significant stride into the next era of mobile AI.

“With this new visual capability, Galaxy S25 series brings next-generation AI experiences to life, setting new standards for how users engage with the world through their devices.”
Gemini Live empowers users to engage in natural, conversational AI interactions.
By pressing and holding the side button on their Galaxy S25, users can bring Gemini Live into action, allowing them to show the AI what they are seeing while interacting with it in real time.
This development aims to simplify various everyday tasks.
For instance, whether picking out an outfit or reorganising a closet, users can now point their camera at items and receive suggestions on categorisation, space optimisation, or even get personalised style advice while shopping online.
With the ability to see and respond to users’ actions in real time, it feels like having a trusted friend assisting with decisions, ready to lend a helping hand at any moment.
In a statement regarding the launch, Anthony Hutia, Head of the Mobile Experience Division at Samsung Electronics East Africa, said, “In collaboration with Google, Samsung is taking a bold step toward the future of mobile AI—designed to reflect the way people across East Africa live, work, and connect.”
He further explained, “With powerful new visual intelligence, the Galaxy S25 series introduces next-generation AI experiences that are more relevant, intuitive, and impactful than ever, setting a new standard for mobile innovation in the region.”
Gemini Live, which will feature camera and screen-sharing capabilities, will be available to all Galaxy S25 series users starting April, at no additional cost.
By introducing this next-generation AI experience, Samsung aims to set a new benchmark for mobile innovation, creating a more relevant and intuitive mobile experience for its users.
