Tech giant Facebook is from Tuesday set to roll out podcasts and Live Audio Rooms in the US as it seeks to overtake Clubhouse and Twitter Spaces.

The social media giant started by Mark Zuckerber is afterwards set to introduce a feature allowing listeners of the podcasts to create clips from their favorite shows.

Facebook, in information shared with podcast owners, will allow hosts to link their shows’ RSS feed to Facebook making published episodes more available on News Feeds.

The episodes will show up on the tab “podcasts” expected to be rolled out in due course after the American company teased it in April as it announced planned audio initiatives.

Podcast owners who publish on Facebook will be bound by Facebook’s podcast terms of service even as it remains unclear the limits of what the firm can do with the products.

Zuckerberg hosted the initial Live Audio Room in the US on Monday after the company announced back in April that it would launch Soundbites feature on the News Feed.
