Kenya’s Kelvin Kiptum put on an exceptional performance to bag the London Marathon title on Sunday.

What made the very competitive race even more thrilling is the fact that Kiptum beat Eliud Kipchoge’s 2019 Course Record in London, which was only his second career marathon.


He crossed the finish line in 2:01:26 and in the process shaved more than a minute from Kipchoge’s 2019 course record of 2:02:37.

Kiptum ran the fastest ever debut marathon in Valencia in 2022 and also the second fastest-ever marathon time in history, which is only 17 seconds shy of Eliud Kipchoge’s World Record.
