Converted Mudavadi revises his position on BBI, lauds Supreme Court judgment

Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has revised his earlier stand on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) and lauded the Supreme Court for the verdict it delivered on Thursday.

Mudavadi took to his Twitter account to congratulate the Supreme Court judges for passing their verdict.

“I congratulate the Supreme Court judges for their bold decision, which essentially puts a stop to the BBI reggae,” Mudavadi wrote.

Mudavadi who is now an affiliate member of the Kenya Kwanza faction said Kenya is lucky to have a strong and independent Judiciary.

“Kenya is indeed fortunate to have a strong and independent Judiciary to which the people can always turn to when those in power become outrageously impertinent,” he added.

Apparently, Mudavadi was counted among the leaders whose signatures were collected at KICC in 2021 when the BBI proponents began the collection of signatures drive.

A section of Kenyans on Twitter has come out to jeer Mudavadi following the recent development regarding his stand on the BBI.
