Italy burst in jubilation after the 3-0 win as it was history the team scoring over three goals in a match at the Euros in their 39th attempt.
“It was important to start well here in Rome, and it is a joy for us and for all the Italians,” Mancini told Rai.
“It was a great evening, I hope there will be many more, but there are still six to go before Wembley”.
Immobile took the player of the match title after his goal and assist. He was so determined that they will win even after a tough first half with him cooperating with his fellow players.
The Lazio striker while speaking at an interview said, “Seeing the fans celebrate after all this time was wonderful, we finally got to come together after so long of this damned virus."
“Unfortunately, we regularly hit their brick wall, especially as we’re not that good in the air. Turkey was more tired after the break, and after the goal, they had to open up some spaces, so that’s when our quality emerged.
“Scoring a goal on the Euros debut in my stadium, it doesn’t get better.” He added.
