The first accident in the ongoing World Rally Championship (WRC) has been reported.

The accident involved Billionaire and Kabras Sugar Company owners’ son Tejveer Rai in his Volkswagen GTI Polo.

The car plunged on its nose after going up a small hill on the course and overturned at Kedong.

Fortunately, Rai and his navigator did not sustain any serious injuries and have been airlifted to Nairobi for a detailed medical check-up.

The accident automatically disqualifies Rai from the WRC rally.

Spectators who were enjoying the spectacular event at that scene rushed to the rescue of the team.

Rai happens to be a 3-time Nakuru Rally winner and Kenya hoped to see his prowess at the ongoing event.
