Kenya Power has made significant strides in restoring power supply to several regions across the country following the partial outage that occurred on Friday morning.

In an update issued at 11:55 AM, the utility company announced that power has been successfully restored to parts of North Rift, Western, Central Rift, Nairobi, and Mt. Kenya.

This includes major towns such as Nyeri, Embu, Kirinyaga, Nanyuki, Nakuru, Naivasha, Thika, Eldoret, Kericho, Kakamega, Siaya, Busia, Vihiga, Kisumu, Bungoma, and Webuye.

"We have successfully restored power supply to parts of North Rift, Western, Central Rift, Nairobi and Mt.Kenya," Kenya Power said in their latest update.

While power has been restored to these areas, Kenya Power committed to continue working towards restoring normal service in the remaining affected regions.

The company has apologized for the inconvenience caused by the outage and has urged customers to be patient as restoration efforts continue.

The widespread outage on Friday morning highlighted the vulnerability of Kenya's power infrastructure and the significant impact that disruptions can have on businesses, households, and essential services.

Kenya Power has committed to providing regular updates on the progress of the restoration exercise.

As more areas regain power, the overall impact of the outage will gradually diminish.
