The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced the appointment of Paul Famba as its new Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, effective August 1, 2024.

Famba, currently serving as the Secretary of Administration in the Ministry of Interior and National Administration, will step into his new role for a five-year term, succeeding Simon Rotich, whose tenure concludes in July 2024.

Paul Famba's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Arts degree in Peace and Conflict Management from Kenyatta University.

His extensive experience in public administration is marked by several senior government positions, including Assistant County Commissioner, State Protocol Officer, Deputy County Commissioner, and Director of Administration.

President William Ruto honoured Famba with the Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (MBS) and the Order of the Grand Warrior of Kenya (OGW) in recognition of his exceptional service to the nation.

The PSC Chairperson, A.M. Muchiri (Amb.), expressed the Commission's welcome and congratulations to Famba on his appointment.

The official statement reads, “The Commission takes this opportunity to welcome and congratulate Famba on his new appointment.”

Famba's diverse background and wealth of experience are expected to bring significant contributions to the PSC in his new role as CEO.
