The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) is urging residents of Langata to stay vigilant following reports of three lions sighted in the area on Wednesday evening.

According to a KWS press release, the lions were allegedly spotted near the Langata Women's Prison.

"Last evening, Kenya Wildlife Service received reports of three lions allegedly sighted near Langata Women's Prison in Nairobi," KWS said.

The KWS Problem Animal Control team immediately responded by conducting a thorough search of the area throughout the night.

However, the search yielded no results.

"Despite their efforts, no lions were found," stated the KWS press release.

"KWS continues to monitor the situation closely and remains on high alert. Ensuring the safety of the public is our top priority."

While the initial reports remain unconfirmed, KWS is taking all necessary precautions.
