With this financial support, the organization aims to amplify its assistance to communities grappling with the adverse effects of the floods, encompassing a spectrum of relief measures.
Expressing gratitude for the unwavering support extended by the American people through the USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, the Kenya Red Cross highlighted the invaluable contributions in addressing immediate needs such as temporary shelter, settlement requirements, and essential WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) Non-Food Items (NFIs).
"We extend our appreciation to the American people through the USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, who have been providing invaluable support for temporary shelter and settlement needs and WASH NFIs, besides the normal emergency programming," stated the Kenya Red Cross.
This assistance complements the organization’s regular emergency programming, further reinforcing the collaborative efforts aimed at mitigating the impact of natural disasters on vulnerable populations.
As the flood-stricken communities continue on the path to recovery, the solidarity demonstrated through such international partnerships serves as a beacon of hope, emphasizing the collective resolve to alleviate suffering and foster resilience in the face of adversity.
