An American man from Montana accused of pushing a metal police barricade into police officers during the siege on Capitol at the end of Donald Trump's tumultuous presidency has been arrested after being deported from Kenya.
Isaac Sturgeon, 32, had been staying in Kenya since January and was sent back to the US by Kenyan authorities into the waiting arms of federal officers in the weekend, court documents show.
According to court papers, Sturgeon from Dillon was filmed on police body-worn cameras allegedly picking up the barricade together with other rioters and shoving it into officers from DC Metropolitan during the January 6 incident.
On January 16, the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) posted a grab from a video showing him putting on a green jacket, green scarf and gray beanie during the insurrection and urged the public to help identify him.
US authorities received a tip and tracked him down and identified him from an Instagram post in which he was surrounded by pro-Trump rioters outside the Capitol, wearing the same attires.

According to an affidavit filed in court by FBI Agent Julia Chen, Sturgeon’s Facebook account included a photo of him carrying a rifle that was posted on November 28, last year.
On January 24, Sturgeon flew to Kenya and was expected back in the US on April 5 but Kenyan authorities deported him after the feds dropped an arrest warrant, stated the court papers.
He was received by federal agents at the gates on landing at JFK Airport on March 6 and was arraigned on Monday in Brooklyn on the Washington, DC indictment and freed on a $250,000 bond.
Sturgeon, who runs a lawn care business, faces seven counts, including obstruction of justice, an act of physical violence in the Capitol grounds and disorderly conduct in a restricted building.
He faces up to 20 years in jail, if convicted by the US courts.
More than 275 protesters have been arrested for storming the Capitol as a joint session of Congress held to count the Electoral College votes and certify President Joe Biden’s triumph.
