The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has issued a statement seeking the public's assistance in locating a female suspect connected to the brutal murder of Nairobi Hospital Acting Finance Director Dr Erick Maigo during the early hours of Friday, September 15, 2023.
Maigo's life was tragically cut short at his residence in Woodley Annex-Upper, under circumstances that have stunned investigators and the community.
The female suspect, whose image has been released by the DCI, is believed to have been intimately involved in the gruesome murder before making a hasty escape through the rear exit of the victim's home.
"Following the gruesome murder of Dr Erick Maigo, in the wee hours of Friday September 15, 2023, detectives are appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of the woman whose images appear below," the DCI said.

This horrific incident was marked by the discovery of two blood-stained knives at the crime scene, believed to be the murder weapons.

Of particular significance to the investigation is the discovery of two kitchen knives next to Maigo's lifeless body, both bearing similar sets of fingerprints.
Detectives are diligently working to ascertain whether the assailant used both knives concurrently or sequentially to inflict the gruesome 25 stab wounds found on Maigo's chest, neck, and face.
Furthermore, investigators observed that the crime scene presented no indication of theft or robbery, leading them to consider the possibility of a crime of passion or a perpetrator consumed by intense rage.
