In a tragic incident that has left the Mnarani Classic Estate community of Kilifi in shock, the Chief Officer for Blue Economy, Rahab Karisa, was found stabbed to death at her residence on the outskirts of Kilifi town.

The horrifying event occurred at approximately 5 a.m. on Thursday morning, sending ripples of distress throughout the region.

Confirming the dreadful incident, Kilifi County Commander Fatuma Hadi stated that the suspect, identified as the domestic helper of the deceased, is currently on the run.

"We visited the scene and managed to recover the knife used to kill her. She had a visible injury, but we hope to get more answers after a post-mortem," Hadi reported.

Neighbours, who were left shaken by the gruesome discovery, recounted that the victim had employed the maid for a considerable period of time.

They disclosed that Ms. Karisa's lifeless body was found lying face down in a pool of blood inside her bedroom.

Disturbingly, scattered documents were also found strewn across the bed and the floor, adding to the somberness of the scene.
