The Kenya Editors’ Guild has issues a statement strongly condemned the recent derogatory remarks made by the CS for Trade and Industry Moses Kuria, targeting the Nation Media Group, a prominent media establishment in the country.
The Kenya Editors' Guild issued this statement in Nairobi on June 19, 2023, representing the collective voice of editors and media practitioners in the country.
In the statement, the guild demands an unconditional apology from the CS for his offensive language, which is unbecoming of a state officer of his rank.

The Editors, journalists and all media practitioners wanted an assurance from the Kenya Kwanza administration that the sentiments expressed by Kuria do not represent the policy of government, and the media enterprises will be accorded their space to execute their mandate.

This statement follows another one issued by the Kenya Union of Journalists (KUJ) which also demanded of Kuria to carry himself in a civil manner fit for a leader.
