Police in Kajiado County are investigating a woman for reportedly stabbing her husband for coming home late before turning on their two children and killing them in cold blood.

The irate woman who resided at Taria Center apartments along Maasai Lodge in Ongata Rongai is alleged to have attempted to take her own life after committing the bizarre acts.

Christine Karimi and her hubby Rodgers Andere are recuperating at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) in Nairobi from the serious injuries sustained during the ugly incident.

According to eyewitnesses, Karimi stabbed Andere following an ugly quarrel after he returned to their matrimonial house after 1am on Thursday heightening their differences.

She is then said to have grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed him on his head and neck before managing to flee while bleeding profusely and was rushed to hospital by neighbours.

She is reported to have locked the door of their house next and stabbed their two children (two-year-old Tyrel Agogo and six-year-old Amani Otieno) before turning it on herself.

The couple is said to have been having domestic squabbles resulting in the tragic incident that left the house they had been living in together for three years an ungodly bloody mess.

Kajiado North Police Commander Hussein Gura says they are probing the matter after recovering the murder weapon even as he called for amicable resolution of marital matters.

The bodies of their two deceased children are being preserved at City Mortuary in Nairobi.
