After a relentless game of hide and seek, the elusive local DJ, Michael Macharia Njiiri, known by his stage name DJ Brown Skin, has finally been arrested.

Detectives, armed with determination and a pinch of good fortune, apprehended the DJ on Thursday night, putting an end to his escapades that had kept them on their toes for weeks.

DJ Brown Skin had been summoned by the investigators to shed light on the unfortunate demise of his wife, Sharon Njeri, a tragic event that unfolded in the wee hours of July 29 and 30, 2022.

To their dismay, the DJ had been evading their grasp, playing a real-life version of "Now you see me, now you don't."

In a sombre and heart-wrenching revelation that hit the digital spaces on April 1, a renowned blogger unveiled video footage capturing Njeri's final moments.

It depicted a chilling scene where she willingly consumed a toxic substance, all while her husband captured the macabre spectacle on camera.

With an eerie calmness, she slumped onto a couch, mustering the strength to inform her two children of her impending departure.

Moments later, she succumbed to the venomous liquid, leaving a void that can never be filled. Her final resting place became her parents' humble abode in the picturesque Koimbe Weithaga village, nestled within Murang'a County.

The community gathered on August 6 last year to bid her farewell, their hearts burdened by grief.

Subsequent investigations unveiled a twisted plotline revealing that the DJ, in an act that defies all reason and comprehension, sent the video to his alleged lover who resided abroad.

With a betrayal that cuts deeper than a 'remix gone wrong', the foreign girlfriend chose to expose this grotesque spectacle to the world through the blogger's platform.

Summoning the slippery suspect to shed light on this macabre incident proved as fruitless as trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Evading authorities with unmatched skill, DJ Brown Skin kept the detectives on a merry chase, a pursuit that has now culminated in his capture on the auspicious Madaraka Day, minutes past midnight. 

The suspect currently finds himself in the custody of Kasarani police as police are now in ] the rigorous process of gathering witness statements.

It is through these accounts that the investigative team hopes to weave a tight and irrefutable case against the alleged perpetrator.

DJ Brown Skin will face the full brunt of the law, as he is slated to be charged with aiding suicide and failing to prevent the same, a violation under Section 225 (C) of the Penal Code.

The wheels of justice, albeit delayed, have set themselves in motion, ready to unravel the perplexing tale that led to the untimely demise of Sharon Njeri.
