Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition has once again suspended the bipartisan talks after failing to persuade their counterparts from the Kenya Kwanzay to concede to what it termed as 'some common sense interim measures'.

This is according to ODM Secretary General and member of the Azimo team Edwin Sifuna who shared the fresh development via his social media account.

"We have had to suspend the Bipartisan dialogue after we could not persuade our friends from KK to concede to some common sense interim measures," Sifuna said.

These measures were deemed necessary by the coalition to safeguard the outcome of the talks, including lowering the cost of Unga, preserving the election servers, suspending IEBC reconstitution, and requesting Kenya Kanza to stop meddling in Jubilee Party affairs.

Sifuna, the proposed measures are vital in protecting the integrity of the dialogue process.

These are necessary in our view in order to safeguard the outcome of the talks. We hope sense shall prevail.

In light of the failure to secure agreement on these interim measures, Azimio made the decision to suspend the bipartisan dialogue.

Sifuna expressed hope that "sense shall prevail" and called on all parties to recognize the importance of these measures in achieving a fair outcome.

"These are necessary in our view in order to safeguard the outcome of the talks. We hope sense shall prevail," Sifuna said.
