A section of jobless Kenyans is crestfallen after the Canadian Government denounced Kenyan Foreign and Diaspora Affairs CS Alfred Mutua’s claims that there were job opportunities in Canada available for Kenyans.

This comes barely 24 hours after the CS made those claims.

The Canadian Government through its Immigration department issued a disclaimer that it shared via its social media account distancing itself from such claims terming Mutua’s remarks as disinformation.

“Disinformation is circulating which suggests that special programs are welcoming Kenyan immigrants,” the statement read,

Furthermore, the Canadian Government stated the immigration referenced by Mutua is non-existent and therefore rendering the CS’s claims untruths.

“This is false, and the immigration programs referenced do not exist,” the statement further read.

The foreign country's immigration also referred interested parties to their website for accurate information on how to immigrate to Canada.
