President William Ruto has reshuffled his Principal Secretaries barely seven months after their appointment.

The re-assignment within the PSs ranks was announced via a press release on Tuesday issued by Ruto’s Chief of Staff and Head of the Public Service Felix Koskei.

“HIS EXCELLENCY THE PRESIDENT has, in exercise of the presidential prerogative vested in the Head of State and Government under Articles 155 of the Constitution, caused portfolio re-assignments within the ranks of Principal Secretaries,” the press release read.

These changes are aimed at enabling the affected state departments to better implement their programs under the Bottom Up model of transformation.

“THE PRESIDENTIAL ACTION seeks to introduce functional changes that shall make the relevant State Departments better able to implement various State Programmes under the Administration's transformative plan for the nation espoused as the Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA),” the release read further.
