Some of the sheep stolen during an invasion at Northlands farm owned by former president Uhuru Kenyatta's family on March 27, 2023, have been returned.

It is believed that few individuals in cars, suspected to be aides of two Nairobi politicians, have been dropping off the sheep near the farm.

On Wednesday night, five of the stolen sheep were found abandoned at Dandora police station and were identified by security managers at the farm through special marks on the animals before being returned.

The farm's security manager, Patrick Masinde, confirmed the return of 18 sheep and noted that they were emaciated due to poor husbandry as they are not traditional breeds that feed freely.

He urged those who still hold the stolen stock to return them peacefully.

“We urge all holding our stock to return them peacefully," Masinde said.

A group of unknown goons invaded the property in Ruiru along the Nairobi Eastern Bypass at the same time the opposition was holding their nationwide anti-government demonstrations.

The unknown youth who seem to have been ferried to the location on that fateful day with their intention remaining unlcear with various videos capturing them carrying away tens of sheep believed to be stolen from the Northlands City property.

Some of the mainly male goons were also captured setting sections of the Kenyattas farm on fire unabated with no security official present to stop the invasion of the private property.
