A student at Nyabisia Secondary School in Bobasi has been hospitalised and had one of his testicles extracted following an alleged thrashing by his teachers for violating exam regulations

According to the 19-year-old's account, he and several other students were caught with a leaked exam paper by one of the teachers.

It was at that point that five teachers and the school security guard reportedly descended on him with blows and kicks before taking him to a section of the school known as the ‘torture chamber'.

Once they got to the ‘torture chamber’, the teachers tied the student to a log to restrict his movement when being given corporal punishment.

The student’s pleas to have his exams cancelled instead fell on deaf ears as the teachers meted out their punishment.

Unfortunately, one teacher dealt a sharp blow under the belt that left him with mobility issues.

Upon realising the weight of the matter, the teachers involved asked the student not to report the same to the school’s head, perhaps for fear of repercussions.

The boy was later taken to Hema Hospital where said they had to extract the testicle as it was severely impacted by the

Kisii Police Commander Charles Kases confirmed that the police have launched a probe into the incident and a manhunt for the teachers responsible is underway.
