Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition leader Raila Odinga has called upon his supporters to boycott several corporations in the country.

Raila while addressing the media on Tuesday at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation in Nairobi asked Kenyans to boycott Kenya’s leading telco Safaricom, Kenya Commercial Bank and The Star Newspaper.

He accused the corporations of being enablers of President William Ruto’s administration, which he termed brutal.

“We call we call for secondly we call for the boycotts of Safaricom, Kenya Commercial Bank and Radio Africa media particularly the Star newspaper who have become enablers and facilitators of this brutal regime,” Raila said.

The former premier further accused the corporates of benefitting from Kenyans’ tedious work and have therefore become the people’s enemies.

“These corporates have become the enemies of the people and are benefiting from the blood and tears of Kenyans,” Raila added.

These remarks follow Raila’s declaration that the nationwide anti-government demonstrations will take place twice a week; on Mondays and Thursdays.

Raila while addressing a rally in Siaya County, declared Monday a public holiday to allow Kenyans and his supporters to take part in the planned countrywide mass demonstrations against President William Ruto’s administration for failing to lower the cost of living.

On Monday, the anti-government demonstrations rocked parts of the country and business was not as usual in the affected areas.
