Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition has laid fresh claims to the August 2022 presidential election win.

The Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni on Wednesday claimed a report released by an alleged whistleblower within the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) showed Azimio leader Raila Odinga garnered 8,170,355 votes against President William Ruto who was declared the winner even though he garnered only 5,919,973 votes.

This also comes as a report allegedly compiled by a group by the name Vanguard Africa, which is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that partners with pro-democracy leaders in Africa surfaced.

Kioni maintained the report proved certain that Raila won the August presidential election against his major rival Ruto.

According to Kioni, the report says 59 per cent of the constituencies examined showed unverifiable results and whatever has been verified so far shows Raila won by bagging 57.53 per cent of the total votes against Ruto’s alleged 41.66 per cent.

"59 per cent of the constituencies examined showed results that cannot be verified with absolute certainty but again, in the same document, what has been verified so far shows that Raila won the elections with 8,170,355 votes representing 57.53 per cent of the votes cast," Kioni said.

“Ruto got 5,915,973 votes representing 41.66 per cent of the votes cast.”

Kioni also said results from about 144 constituencies were doctored before IEBC announced their bogus results.

He also said most of the result manipulations were done in the Mount Kenya region.

"What we have seen in one of the pages is that at one point, 144 constituencies had their results verified and often at times those results are far from the results announced by IEBC," Kioni said.

"Most of the manipulation happened within the Mt. Kenya region.”

Kioni disclosed the whistleblower is not hiding his identity and they are reachable as well as the report which he welcomed members of the public to scrutinise before the party releases the complete report.

"As I said, the whistleblower is not hiding his identity. This is a study that has been done by a group known as Vanguard Africa, an NGO that partners with pro-democracy leaders across Africa," the Jubilee Secretary-General said.

"You can reach him @smith-jeffreyt. That document is available. As I said a comprehensive statement will be issued by our party leader and I ask that you take time to go through the findings before then."

The coalition will release the comprehensive report when the party leader Raila jets back from South Africa.

IEBC chairperson declared Ruto the winner of the August 9, 2022, presidential election by 7, 176, 141 votes representing 50.49 per cent of the total votes against Raila who received 6,942,930 votes representing 48.85 per cent.

However, Raila and Azimio coalition disputed the presidential election results, claiming massive election malpractices and rigging and filed a petition against Ruto's win at the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court later upheld Ruto's victory and declared him the winner in a unanimous ruling.
