President William Ruto has proposed etiquette training for all Kenya Kwanza Alliance leaders.

Ruto said that on Friday during the opening of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance Parliamentary Group retreat in Naivasha.

The president noted that the table etiquette of some Kenya Kwanza Alliance leaders during meetings was embarrassing therefore an etiquette crash course was appropriate.

Ruto intimated that the training will be conducted on Saturday as some leaders are void of some common behavioural skills such as handling themselves around spoons and forks.

“Tomorrow we’re going to have a session to show you a bit of etiquette, we want to show you what to do because sometimes we get embarrassed when senior people don’t even know how to hold a spoon or how to hold a fork,” Ruto said.

“So tomorrow we’ll take time because we want to mentor everybody. You know some people take things for granted. So that is how we will organise Ourselves. That is number one.”

Still, on the mentorship note, the president urged the senior members to mentor the newcomers and not harass them.

He challenged the senior members to make themselves useful in the mentorship process.

“I want to ask the seniors who are here, let us take time to mentor the newcomers. Let us make it our responsibility. Don’t monolize anybody, don’t harass the younger ones and please be useful; show them how CDF and committees work, don’t assume people know how to do stuff,” the president said.
