The Supreme Court of Kenya has directed that presidential votes in fifteen polling stations across the country be recounted.
SCOK also directed the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to deliver all ballot boxes for inspection, scrutiny and recount in the said polling stations.
"That the IEBC does deliver all ballot boxes in Bomet, Nandi, Kiambu, Kericho, Kirinyaga and Nyeri counties for inspection, scrutiny, recount and such terms as it deems fit," the court ruled.
The court has issued a 48-hour timeframe for the recount beginning Tuesday afternoon and is expected to end on Thursday at 2 pm and a report of the same filed.
According to the Supreme Court, two agents from each party will represent their parties and shall at all times be under the supervision of the Supreme Court's Registrar and her staff.

The Supreme Court Registrar is expected to file her on September 1, 2022, by 5 pm and provide all copies to the parties.
The Supreme Court has also ordered the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to provide the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition with copies of its technology system security policy, password policy, password matrix, and system administration owners' passwords, system users and levels of access and many more.
IEBC has also been ordered to provide workflow charts for identification, tallying, transmission, posting of portals and any Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) integrated into the IEBC system.
“IEBC be compelled to give the applicants supervised access to any server(s) at the National Tallying Centre for storing and transmitting voting information and which are forensically imaged to capture a copy of the Form 34C which is the total votes cast,” Supreme Court ruled.
Apart from those, IEBC is also required to provide error forms signed by the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati during the tallying and verification process at the Bomas of Kenya National Tallying Centre between August 10, 2022, and August 15, 2022.
The 15 polling stations in which recounts of votes were ordered include;
• Nandi County: Nandi Hills and Sinendeti Primary School, Tinderet CONMO.
• Mombasa County: Mvita, Majengo and Mvita Primary Schools, Jomvi, Mikindani and
• Ministry of Water Tanks Polling Stations
• Kericho County: Belgut, Chepkutu, and Kapsuser Primamary Schools polling stations.
• Nyandarua County: Kiheho, Gathanji and Jarok Primary Schools polling stations.
